In the state of New York, Wood Destroying Organisms (WDO) – which includes termites – are commonly found during home inspections. However, in New York, the law does not allow the inspector to identify what the specific organism is, and requires that it is simply labeled a WDO.

If you decide to do it yourself, plan on putting a lot of time and effort into the job. If the choice is to have a painter do it, plan on paying a lot more professional job.
